Exciting news coming out today about a new TV show that’s all about our favorite subject, drones. You heard us right, a tv show on a major network, appropriately title DRONED! “So DRONED is a new series airing on the Science Channel and we’re featuring footage from all over the world. Our team is going to go get some crazy stuff, see some amazing things and blow people’s minds with our drone footage.” The new docu-series follows the core team from Pigeon Vision, a Fort Lauderdale store that specializes in customizing drones and aerial cinematography. We asked cast member Dani, a self-described video gamer who got into drones through her gaming and aviation background, to tell us a little bit about her fellow cast members: “Ryan got involved because his cousin developed Pigeon Vision. He’s actually an actor by trade but he’s a really smart guy and so he’s one of those people that can just jump into something and learn it, so working with him and working with the drones has been awesome.” “Rodger is very neurotic, he’s very different. I like working with him because he brings this element of unexpectedness to the table; like you never know what he’s going to say next.” “Bill is really good with computers. He has a history in software engineering, he’s been a programmer forever. He started in 3D Robotics and then came to Pigeon Vision just recently.” “Darren is kind of our social media/PR guy. He is a smooth talker and so we always send him to deal with our clients, and then he gets us into places we shouldn’t be sometimes.” This season the cast will be traveling to several beautiful locations, like Barbados, Vancouver and Las Vegas, with guest appearances by Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, and other social media and FPV drone racing phenoms. “The coolest thing about being on the show is we have an opportunity to go places we normally wouldn’t be able to and see things and meet people we normally many not have access to.” AirVūz is co-producing the show, with AirVūz users being featured prominently throughout the first season. Make sure to upload your content to AirVuz.com using the #Droned for your chance to showcased on an episode. Season 1 of DRONED will premiere on Science Channel, Friday July 22nd.
